Norfolk Smuggler 25. An immaculate example of this classically inspired gaff cutter designed by Andrew Wolstenholme. Built from GRP, with a heavy ballast keel, and deep centreplate, she is a fantastic sea boat with surprisingly good sailing characteristics.
Her spacious, and beautifully finished cabin is large and airy and has accommodation for 4 in a double and 2 singles.. She has a well appointed galley, chart table and heads. She has lots of storage in grp lined lockers and cupboards.
She has been meticulously maintained and cared for by her most recent owners; a major refurbishment has just been completed which tops off a long list of other improvements.
The following has been completed in the last 12 months: new upholstery in the cabin and cockpit cushions. New spray hood, sail cover and rope bags. New recirculating hot air heating system. New electric anchor windlass. New halyards, new batteries and upgraded charging system. New volvo propeller shaft seal. In MAY of this year all exterior woodwork (excluding mast and spars) was stripped and fresh Epifanes varnish applied. Her hull topsides were polished to bring back to as new condition.
During 2014-15 she had the following works completed: new Yanmar 2YM15 fresh water cooled inboard engine with just over 100 hours on it. The ballast keel, and centreplate, were removed, shot blasted, epoxied and refitted. The centreplate pivot bolt was also replaced. New rudder. New mast and gaff. new furling jibs.
The underside of the hull was stripped, dried and epoxy coated.
Standard cruising inventory is also included; fenders, warps, life ring, boathook, etc. She has a Lowrance chartplotter, Raymarine depth, log and anemometer (windspeed and direction)
She is has adjustable aluminium "Yacht Legs" which allows her to be beached, with ease, and dry out upright.
