Business Opportunity – Included with the Sale*
Rhapsody in Blue is a classic Guy Couach 1600 M flybridge motor yacht, offering timeless design, proven craftsmanship, and an impressive amount of space both inside and out. Built by the renowned French yard Guy Couach, she is a solid and characterful 16-metre (approx. 52ft) motor yacht, well regarded for her deep-V GRP hull, seaworthy performance, and practical layout. She presents a compelling opportunity for cruising, extended stays aboard, or income-generating ownership.
Powered by twin Mercedes V12 engines, producing 440hp each, Rhapsody in Blue delivers dependable twin-engine performance and reassuring handling. Fuel capacity is approximately 2,000 litres across twin tanks, supporting comfortable coastal cruising. She benefits from a built-in generator, a robust onboard electrical setup with two starter and six leisure batteries, and a well-equipped helm featuring a traditional commercial-style navigation suite, including Robertson autopilot, Furuno and Lorenz GPS, Simrad radar, Cobra VHF, and comprehensive instrumentation.
Designed with life aboard in mind, the interior layout is both balanced and practical. Accommodation comprises two comfortable cabins, including a forward cabin with a generous double berth and storage, and a midships cabin with twin berths, often convertible depending on fit-out. There are two heads, typically serving the forward and guest areas, with separate shower arrangements commonly found on this model. The raised wheelhouse provides excellent visibility, while the spacious saloon offers comfortable seating and dining with good natural light. The galley, located on the main deck level, is ideally positioned for both everyday living and entertaining.
Externally, Rhapsody in Blue continues to impress. The flybridge helm creates a genuinely sociable space for cruising or relaxing at anchor, complemented by wide side decks for safe movement around the boat and a practical foredeck suitable for sun pads or deck furniture. Her classic lines and purposeful profile reflect the era of construction, where substance and usability were prioritised over passing trends.
Hot water is supplied via a large water tank with heating elements feeding an electric heater, while onboard heating is provided by a blown-air system, supporting comfortable use throughout the year. The vessel has been antifouled in 2025, holds a Boat Safety Certificate valid until July 2027, and is offered with viewings by appointment only.
*Business Opportunity – Included with the Sale
In addition to her credentials as a capable cruising yacht, Rhapsody in Blue offers a rare and attractive business opportunity. She is currently operated as a successful holiday let in Chertsey, generating approximately £45,000 per annum in gross rental income, according to the current owner.
The boat is well established on Airbnb and Booking.com, and the sale includes the opportunity to take over the rental business. This includes existing listings, forward bookings, and the benefit of a proven presence on both platforms. Notably, confirmed bookings are already in place for 2026, offering immediate continuity and income potential for a new owner, subject to platform approvals and marina arrangements.
This presents an appealing proposition for buyers seeking:
• A ready-made holiday let business
• An income-generating asset alongside boat ownership
• Or a vessel that can continue operating as accommodation while future private cruising plans are considered
Further details regarding occupancy levels, booking schedules, and handover arrangements are available directly through the broker.
Rhapsody in Blue is a yacht that offers more than just ownership — she provides character, capability, and a genuine opportunity to combine lifestyle with income.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
